You’re engaged! Congratulations 🙂 this can be an excited and overwhelming time for most couples and so this blog is to outline the first steps after getting engaged!

- Celebrate!
Yes, there is a lot to do and we know it really is a lot BUT don’t forget to celebrate. Have a dinner with family and friends, have an engagement part or go away just the two of you to stay in your engagement bubble as long as possible 🙂 we not only suggest it but recommend it! It’s your time to sit back and enjoy.
2. Set a Budget
Once you come back to planet Earth (yes, we know you don’t want to lol).
Sit down with whoever is contributing to your budget (even if it’s just the two of you) and come up with a number you feel comfortable with. This could be the hardest part because you’re not exactly sure how much everything should cost but our next point will help with that!

3. Create a Guest List
Oh the dreaded guest list! No one is a fan of this portion of wedding planner but here is our tip! Write down absolutely everyone and then create an A,B and C List. Categorize people in order of “have-to” invite. A-List are are immediate families and have-to’s and then make B List your next set of friends and people you would love to invite given the venue space and budget. Then finally C list, the people you would like to invite but you’ll really need to see how things are looking as we get closer and maybe you get some responds back from RSVP’s.
I wish I had the words to say how much I appreciated everything that Jessyca did to make my day special !! What she has is truly a gift.

4.Get a Wedding Planner
Ha! You didn’t think we would forget adding what we consider to be the most important?! Your wedding planner, whether us or any company, should walk you through your budget and break it all down for you. They will educate you on vendors costs & expenses. Every budget is possible, just know that you’ll have everything you need, consider it a give & take to stay within your parameters. Your wedding planner will also guide you in the right direction on the correct vendors that fit your event style and budget. They will be with you every step of the way and ensure everything happens on time & you’re getting the best deals. I always tell all my clients my goal is to save you our fee & hopefully more, that makes us double-worth it!

5. Begin your Self Care
Getting “Wedding Ready” is not for the faint of heart! Between the #WeddingBod work outs and the eating clean we know it’s a struggle but don’t forget some of the other self care routines you should be doing!
- Teeth Whitening
