Hi, I’m Jessyca, I am a 10-year marketing and economics specialist turned wedding planner, podcaster, wife and new mom of twins. I have helped many couples realize their wedding dreams and have helped them create countless memories that will last a lifetime. After years of experience in planning events for the Corporate World, I have taken my skills in timeline management, design work and my eye for detail to bring together a team of individuals who are committed to delivering excellence no matter how grand or intimate the occasion.
It is no secret how much I love weddings and I am not ashamed to say I cry almost every time! My blood type is champagne and my pulse runs off music. As a Miami native, parties are my jam. Growing up, I was known for always bringing the FUN energy into every room and I am blessed to say that I have been able to turn that light hearted energy into a successful business . Life was simple when it was just me and my dog, Cosita, traveling, planning and partying but every night I would pray to expand our little family and one night I prayed for patience instead and the next day, I met my husband David. God and my angels have a funny sense of humor. Which only continues when we prayed to expand our family and got two little miracles instead of one. Case is, I am not asking anyone for anything anymore or at least anytime soon 🙂
Shalimar – Lead Planner
Shalimar graduated from Florida International University with a dual degree in Psychology and Communications. She fell in love with event planning ever since she was little. Her family and herself have been planning and hosting events for as long as she can remember. With over 5 years of experience her goal is for all her brides and clients to have the event of their dreams. Her social nature and bright attitude make her a perfect lead for any of your events.
Marite Copado – Lead Planner
Graduate from Barry University, I majored in Communications and Marketing. I actually started off doing Corporate Events and did it for 12 years until I jumped into now social events. I love weddings and all types of social events because they have so much emotion!
My strengths are definitely creativity and my determination to make your day flawless not including my many years of experience in the industry.
I enjoy all the “finer things in life” (haha) like wine, dancing, traveling and time with my husband.
Janete Aburto – Lead Planner
Janete is a Le Cordon Bleu graduate and has worked in the hospitality industry since she was 15. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s in Hospitality & Tourism Management, specializing in Event Management at FIU. She has worked at EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and The Fontainebleau . She is a huge foodie and has a passion for catering and events. Her attention to detail and dedication to her work makes her perfect for any event. In her spare time, she enjoys a glass of red wine, spoiling her dog, and good sweat session at the gym.
Lucy – Lead Planner
Lucy graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Miami and worked at the renowned Mercer Kitchen in NYC before heading back south to Miami to continue her work in the field of hospitality at the JW Marriott Miami. A move to West Palm Beach gave her a chance to work for United Airlines where she had the opportunity to travel all over the world. On top of her experience in the hospitality industry , Lucy is also the most patient, determined and kind person you will ever meet. She graduated with her Masters in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. Her diligence, knack for style and dedication will make her the perfect asset for any event planning.

Iliana is the Social Media and Brand Guru of EBJ and just happens to also be Jessyca’s sister . From social media to blog management and brand expansion opportunities she is committed to helping EBJ serve as a platform to all our EBJ Babes.
