When determining a budget for a wedding, it is crucial to keep in mind that the use of professionals will take up a large portion of costs. Naturally, every wedding is different and what one couple values at their wedding could be different from another’s. You can reference once of our past blogs to see our opinion on what you shouldsplurge or save on! To give you an idea on what you could be spending, below are the most important vendor categories and their average prices in South Florida:
Photographers: $2,000-$3,000
When it comes to photographers, it is important to bear in mind that 8 hours of coverage will be needed at minimum to accommodate pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception.
Videographers: $1,500-$2,500
A videographer is one of those professionals you could either splurge or save on, however, having one is a great way for you to be able to view everything you might have missed out on throughout the day.
Plus, it iskindacute to have years down the road to either reminisce with or have your kids watch one day 😉
Florists: $2,000-$4,000
Florist pricing can vary depending on the type and amount of centerpieces ordered, the amount of people in the wedding party due to bouquets and boutonnieres, and any ceremony decorations, such as arches, chair ends and aisle décor.
DJ’s: $100-$150/hour
DJ’s are one of the vendors we have mentioned should be splurged on due to the fact that they keep the party going throughout the night and will make sure everything goes according to schedule by announcing the wedding party at the reception, toasts, first dance, etc.
Wedding Planners (Full Planning): $3,000-$4,000
Coordinators (Month-of/Day-of): $1,000-$2,000

Understandably, wedding planners/coordinators are the key to having a smooth and successful wedding. Relax and enjoy your special day, it only happens once!
Catering (Per Person): $60-$125
(varies on wedding venue)

Catering varies on the wedding venue. If a couple is getting married at a hotel for instance, the hotel will handle the dining for you. If you are getting married at a venue that does not provide catering then a full-service catering company will be needed.
Venue Rentals: $4,000-$6,000

Some museums, estates, and private venues can cost much more than the average we have listed while others can be less. It all depends on what you are looking for and the amount of people you are inviting.
Cake (Per Slice w/ Fondant): $5-$7

Wedding cake pricing is determined by slice, tier, and decoration. A higher end wedding cake would be multi-tiered with flavored fillings, fondant, and sugar decorations, whereas, a lower end cake would be smaller tiered. You might even decide to go with a small cake and then a variety of mini desserts! There are many ways to go about this!
